WBM Staalservice processes your personal data when you use our services and/or because you provide this data to us yourself.
Collection and use of personal data of customers, suppliers and other contractors
We would like to draw your attention to the fact that we will collect and use the personal data that you provide us with because this is necessary to conclude and execute a possible agreement with you. This applies to both our (potential) customers and to parties
from whom we purchase goods and/or services.
If you are a (potential) customer of ours, we will use your data to be able to send you a quote, to be able to determine which specifications or wishes a certain item or service must meet, to be able to deliver goods or perform work for you, to be able to invoice and to be able to communicate with you smoothly and efficiently about the implementation aspects of the agreement.
If you are a (potential) supplier or other contractor, your personal data are also necessary for the conclusion and execution of the agreement. In the case of purchasing, this is necessary to be able to inform you of the specifications or wishes that a particular item or service must meet in our opinion, to be able to send a quotation request or to place an order with you, to be able to pay your invoices and to be able to communicate with you quickly and efficiently about other aspects of the agreement.
You are not obliged to provide us with your personal data. However, if you do not provide us with any or insufficient personal data, it is possible that we will not be able to carry out the aforementioned activities.
Use of cookies
Cookies are used on the website of WBM Staalservice Centrum. Cookies are small text files that are automatically stored on a user's computer, depending on the personal settings of the browser. These text files are intended to remember different types of information.
We use these files so that we can collect surfing behavior on the website with Google Analytics and adjust the user experience accordingly. The use of cookies is safe. It is always possible to remove cookies from your computer under 'internet options' in your browser. You can also indicate in the cookie notification (when opening the website) that you do not want them to be stored.
Google analytics
We use Google Analytics to track our website statistics. We have concluded a processing agreement with Google for this purpose. The data is processed anonymously. Furthermore, the option 'share data' from Google Analytics is disabled. We do not use other Google services in combination with Google Analytics.
Use of forms on the website
WBM sometimes uses online forms around events or with online marketing campaigns. These forms contain a checkbox in which the owner of his/her personal data explicitly gives permission to use his/her contact details for the purpose for which he/she fills out the contact form. This data is also only used to process/answer the request via the contact form.
If the request turns into an actual order request, the personal data will end up in our customer system.
For the registration for the newsletter, the data will end up in the address list of the program in which we create newsletters: MailChimp (see next paragraph).
Personal data is always sent via our website via a secure, encrypted connection (ssl, https).
MailChimp
We use MailChimp to send digital mailings. A processing agreement has been concluded for this. For the registration of the newsletter, the data ends up in the address list of that program. This data remains in the address list as long as the owner of the personal data does not indicate that he/she no longer wishes to receive the newsletter.
In every newsletter that we send, there is an option to unsubscribe. In MailChimp, we also create landing pages for specific purposes, for example for requesting a white paper. We collect the addresses for that request in the address list with an extra tag in MailChimp. Are you already in our address list? Then the relevant tag is added to it. These addresses are only used for the purposes for which the landing page is intended (unless you have multiple tags).
Requesting data
You have the right to ask us to view your own personal data. If there is reason to do so, you can also request us to supplement your personal data or to change inaccuracies. In addition, you have the right to request that your personal data be deleted or that the use of your personal data be limited. You can also object to the collection and use of your data or file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority. Finally, you can request us to obtain your personal data or transfer that data to another party. In order to exercise your rights, you can contact us.
Filing a complaint
If there is reason to file a complaint about the processing of personal data, you can do so in the first instance with our contact person for data management. If that does not provide a solution, you can turn to the Dutch Data Protection Authority. You can read more about this here: https://www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl/een-tip-of-klacht-indienen-bij-de-ap
How long we store personal data

In the context of the National Tax Act, we store our sales administration for seven years.
WBM Staalservice may change this privacy policy at any time. We strive to publish the latest version here.
