WBM Staalservice invests in advanced Multibrush grinding machine
We are proud to announce that we will soon have a state-of-the-art Q-fin SER1200 Multibrush grinding machine. This innovative machine enables us to not only deburr and break the sharp edges of cut plates, but also to grind them to a constant radius of 2+ in one pass.
In the first station of the finishing machine, the burr is removed with a sanding belt, resulting in a flat, burr-free surface. After grinding, four oscillating cup brushes follow, which exert light pressure on the product. This pressure, in combination with the cup brushes, ensures that all edges and holes are rounded off around and in the flat-ground product.
High-quality and durable end product
As a final step, the Multibrush round brushes ensure that your product is perfectly finished. These six brushes provide a non-directional finish and increase the radius to 2+ mm, giving the product a high-quality and durable appearance.
The oxide skin that is created as a result of cutting processes such as laser or plasma cutting is also eliminated. Removing the oxide layer is important to improve the quality and functionality of the cut metal sheet parts. This laser oxide can influence the adhesion and quality of further processes, such as welding, coating, painting or assembly.
