An eye for safety, health and the environment
Metal is a crucial component for the transition to green energy, such as wind turbines, solar installations and electric vehicles. On the other hand, in the metal industry, energy consumption, carbon emissions and waste disposal are under a magnifying glass. At WBM, we have invested heavily in these issues and proudly carry the ISO 14001 environmental certificate.
Obtaining this certificate means, among other things, that at WBM the quality manual, the storage of hazardous substances and the sorting and management of waste flows meet all the requirements set, both in terms of safety and the environment.
Reduction of emissions by 211 tons per year
No less than 1264 panels and 18 km of cabling; the roof of our factory is completely covered with solar panels. The extensive project produces 448,000 kilowatt hours per year and saves 211 tons of emissions.
Electric forklift
In order to reduce emissions as much as possible - also in the interior - our logistics department drives an electric forklift.
Sustainability has our continuous attention. The expectation is that more actions can be reported in this area in the future.
